I'm not saying everyone needs to go skydiving or something crazy (but if you're into that, totally do it), all I'm saying is to live on the edge a little bit. Don't let doubts and fears get in the way of you chasing after what you want. Being fearless can be something as simple as trying a new food, or as drastic as bungee jumping, it's all up to you. Life begins when you step outside your comfort zone and explore the unknown. Living in fear does absolutely no good and causes so much stress and anxiety. Be bold and stop second guessing yourself.
Strike up conversation with a stranger, explore a new place, confess your feelings to someone. Go for it. Whether it ends good or bad, it was an experience. Experiences make up our lives and I would much rather have rich, fulfilling experiences than mediocre, dull ones. Dive in to life with a thirst for adventure and leave your fears at the door. If you have fears, find the root of them and overcome them. As the wise Pema Chodron says, "living in fear has to do with wanting to protect your heart: you feel that something is going to harm your heart, and therefore you protect it." You cannot protect yourself from the hurt and the pain, it's going to happen regardless. Some experiences you will cherish for the rest of your life and others you will wish you could forget, but they all help shape you.You only hurt yourself by shielding yourself from the world.
Be fearless, bold, daring, audacious, ballsy, do something every day that scares you. The more you embrace new experiences the better your quality of life will be. Break out of your same old routine and see the promise life has to offer. And most importantly, fearlessness begins with disregarding what anyone else may think of you. Be yourself completely and take your life by storm with courage and integrity.
How can you be more fearless?
