And while gifts are obviously nice to give and receive, that's not all there is to it. The presents I received were all amazing and I loved them, but there are certain things in life that you cannot wrap and put under the tree. As we get older I feel as though our Christmas lists get shorter and the things we truly want for Christmas cannot be bought.
Things like happiness, love, good health, and friendship, cannot be bought in a store and wrapped in pretty paper and bows. These are the things that matter the most and we desire the most. All I honestly want for Christmas is to be happy. The best gifts are the ones that are there all year round. All the amazing friends I have in my life are the best presents I could ever ask for. Having special people in your life that love you is a much better feeling than unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning.
Take time to appreciate life's everyday gifts. While you're opening presents today, think of all the priceless things you already have in your life. My favorite gifts are warm hugs, laughing until I cry, summer days, good music, and spending time with people who make life worth it. For Christmas I just want to enjoy the present moment and everything and everyone that makes up my life.
What do you want for Christmas?
